To mark the 150th anniversary of Italy’s unification, the Masters of Style exhibition taking place at London's Somerset House (home to London Fashion Week since 2009), will bring together six of Italy’s most influential fashion houses to celebrate the stories behind Italian fashion. Looking at defining moments from their advertising campaigns, Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Ferragamo, Gucci, Missoni and Prada will showcase a personally hand-picked selection of images from their collections and archives. The exhibition, will give a unique insight into the way that Italian style has been created by the very people who have come to define it. In doing so, it will bring to life the stories of the personalities, the collections and campaigns that have influenced them over their careers and include contributions from leading commentators who have been influenced by Italy’s unique approach to style. This exhibition is curated by Peroni Nastro Azzurro in partnership with fashion commentator Colin McDowell and Somerset House. It is open to the public from Friday 1st July - Sunday 14th August, 2011.
