Fashion: MK and Ashley Olsen

They may been known by most predominantly for their childhood fame, but to fashionista's abroad they can be considered popular style icons for their personal style and street cred. Back as early as 1993, they began heavily merchandising their image through clothes, books, fragrances, magazines, movies, posters, and even fashion dolls, establishing a company called Dualstar. They have a clothing line in Wal-Mart stores across North America for girls ages 4 – 14, sell their line 'Olsenboye' to JCPenney, appear in 130 stores worldwide with their minimalist luxury fashion label 'The Row' stocked by Bergdorf Goodman, and have started spin-off label for The Row entitled 'Elizabeth & James' named after their siblings. Each label has a different design team which they are heavily involved with. They have been the face of Badgley Mischka, and have been on the Forbes 'Celebrity 100 list' since 2002. In 2007 they were ranked collectively the 11th richest women in entertainment with an estimated net worth of 100 million. At just 24, they are literally part of the future of fashion. The Olsen twins have been nominated for the Swarovski Award for Womenswear, the top honor for emerging talent at next month’s Council of Fashion Designers of America gala (CFDA's). Here is a few pics from their latest shoot with Terry Richardson. Think what u may, they can't do wrong in my eyes xx

Beyonce: Run The World (Girls)

The thing I love the most about Beyonce is her fierceness.....her bark is bigger than her bite! She is iconic in the eyes of many women and not to mention deeply talented. I went to her concert in Melbourne last year and she was just as amazing live! Not sure that the release of her new clip for female anthem 'Run the world (Girls)'- directed by Francis Lawrence and samples Major Lazer's "Pon De Floor", has reflected the associated hype surrounding the release of her fourth album titled '4' (funnily enough!)
However, from a fashion perspective I love everything about it!! A little bit tribal african-warrior-chief meets electronic futuristic female army; with features of pop colours in pink, red, orange and purple. The jewellery, the embellishments, dresses by the late Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gaultier, Emilio Pucci and I CANNOT forget to mention those architectural gold Gareth Pugh platform shoes!!! Luv xx

Crazy cool

I saw these in the window at the Versace store in the new Westfield Sydney City. I gotta admit, they got my attention......These patent leather 'Dvea' platform heels with criss cross straps and ankle buckle, are 7 inches of craziness!! At over $1,125.00 the closest I got to them was with my nose pressed against the glass lol xx

Dior Inspiration:

Here is a brief tour of the "Inspiration Dior" exhibition at the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow April 28-July 24, 2011. The exhibition is a journey into the constant dialogue between The House of Dior and Art, starting with its founder Christian Dior, all the way to the artistic directors that have succeeded him. It shows a true interpretation of the greatest artists that inspired him xx
